The Troup Lady Tigers improved to 7-0 with a 46-35 road win over Newnan on Tuesday.

Amber Gilbert led Troup with 20 points, and Aniya Palmer added 11 points.

Clinging to a three-point lead, Troup outscored Newnan 15-7 in the fourth quarter.

Troup’s boys’ team lost to Newnan 61-45.

The Tigers were within nine through three quarters, but they were unable to make a run in the fourth quarter.

Troup’s teams play in the War Eagle Classic at Woodward Academy on Friday.

Troup’s girls’ team plays Westminster at 3 p.m., and Troup’s boys’ team plays Elite Scholars Academy at 4:30 p.m.
