The LaGrange Academy Lady Warriors fell to Flint River Academy 44-32 in the semifinals of the GISA Region 1-AA tournament on Thursday.

LaGrange Academy was within four points with three minutes to play, but Flint River closed the game on an 8-0 run.

Ivey Portis led LaGrange Academy with 15 points, Kayla McBride added 11 points, and Kelsey Cotton scored six points.

Trailing 25-16, LaGrange Academy went on a 9-0 run to pull even with 3:54 left in the third quarter.

Flint River responded with a 7-0 run, but LaGrange Academy hung tough and was within three points late in the game before Flint River pulled away.
