LaGrange outlasts Upson-Lee

Brant Williams threw a complete game to lead the LaGrange Grangers to a 2-1 victory over Upson-Lee on Monday.
Williams held Upson-Lee to three hits and no walks in seven innings, and he had eight strikeouts.
Cole Crawford and Matthew Morgan each had RBI hits for LaGrange.
It was tied 1-1 when LaGrange pushed the go-ahead run across in the bottom of the fifth.
After back-to-back two-out hits by Will Alford and Charles Crawford, Morgan gave the Grangers the lead with an RBI single.
TROUP: Eighth-grader Jackson Sanders threw a complete-game two-hitter as Valley beat Troup 6-2 on Tuesday.
Luke Purnell had a hit and an RBI for Troup, and Daniel Martin had a hit.
Cole Garner started for Troup and pitched four innings, and Grayson Garner and Devon Murphy each pitched one inning.
LAFAYETTE CHRISTIAN: The Cougars exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on the way to a 19-10 win over Community Christian at the George F. Harris Baseball Complex.
Adam Barnett had four hits for Lafayette Christian, and Cason Firth had three hits and three RBIs with a home run.
The Cougars finished with 20 hits.
