Charles Steven McLachlan (Steve), 73 of LaGrange, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2020, at his home surrounded by family. He was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Goshen, Indiana, to the late Don McLachlan and Betty Miller.
He was part owner of Custom Designed Surfaces (C.D.S). He loved his family, riding his jet ski, hunting, fishing, mowing the yard, riding his tractor and flying. He was a proud member of the NRA and proudly served in the US Army.
Throughout his life, he was a friend to all and is especially remembered for his wittiness, humor, smile and infectious personality that always left him memorable.
Surviving family members include his daughter Stephanie Marcellini, son-in-law Marc Marcellini, two granddaughters Kenzie Marcellini and Emmie Marcellini, all of LaGrange. Steve is also survived by a brother Michael McLachlan of Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Kathy McLachlan, who passed away in June 2002.
