Mr. Willie James Woodard passed away Thursday.
He was born March 6, 1947, in LaGrange, Georgia; the second child of the late Clifford and Georgia Mae Woodard.
Willie graduated from East Depot High School, Class of 1965, served in the US Air Force, and graduated from Southern Union College.
He was previously employed by Westinghouge before becoming the owner of LaGrange Limousine while simultaneously, assisting his wife with her dream of becoming the owner of Yvette’s Little World.
He was a member at First Baptist Church, a member of the Rotary, Troup County NAACP, Chamber of Commerce, and volunteer for First Tee of LaGrange; and Board Member at LaGrange Academy and LaGrange Housing Authority.
Survivors include his wife, Yvette Woodard; daughters, Igela (Notorris) Bray and Alisha (Larry) Strickland; son, Otis Greene; three grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Formbly; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, schoolmates, business associates and friends.
The celebration of life service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The excellent care of Mr. Woodard is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
