LaGrange native Leslie Traylor, 34, has held many hats in LaGrange but now she has found her true calling working for the LaGrange-Troup Chamber of Commerce.

“I am the director of member engagement at the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce where I organize ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings and business anniversaries, coordinate quarterly West Point and Hogansville business councils and help oversee Leadership Troup and Youth Leadership programs,” Traylor said.

Traylor said she loves working in the middle of downtown LaGrange, and working with everyone in the community.

“I also love that my job is never done,” Traylor said. “There will always be people who haven’t thought about joining the chamber and I like finding fun and exciting ways to reach new audiences and spread the word about everything we can offer. I am able to be directly involved in making Troup County a great place to live and do business.”

In the past two years, Traylor was faced with multiple challenges and changes in leadership within the chamber. When the chamber had no president, Traylor was on the frontlines still making sure things ran as smooth as possible

“I developed stronger leadership and communication skills and found myself surrounded by so much support from the community,” Traylor said. “Fast forward to this summer with a new set of challenges, it has brought the opportunity to bring value to businesses during this current health situation.”

When she is not chasing around her feisty, dirt bike riding, six-year-old Zane, she’s helping out with HYPE (Helping Young Professionals Excel). Traylor also just recently graduated from Leadership Troup 2020. This past year HYPE hosted the 2019 and 2020 Polar Plunge, “YP 101” Lunch and Learn Summer Series and the 4th Annual Bark at the Park.

“I look forward to seeing Troup County grow and flourish,” Traylor said. “As a Troup County native, my goals are to stay active and involved in my community.”
