A woman is wanted for allegedly attempting to set a house on fire Tuesday morning in LaGrange.
Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Victoria Kendrick, 29, of LaGrange for arson first degree, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.
Kendrick allegedly had a dispute earlier in the day with the victim and threatened to burn the property as she left the area of 302 Johnson Street in LaGrange.
After arriving at the scene around 10:44 a.m., officers found clothing under the house that was smoking and smoldering from a fire that had apparently just been set. Sgt. Robert Kirby said the fire was put out quickly so there was minimal damage.
The Criminal Investigation Section was notified and began an investigation. The incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department at (706) 883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at (706) 812-1000.
