Man shot, killed on Lanett Avenue

A man was shot and killed on Lanett Avenue on Tuesday night.
According to a LPD press release, at 8:48 p.m., officers responded to 116 Lanett Avenue in response to a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located Kendarrius Cameron on the front porch suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Emergency medical aid was provided at the scene before Cameron was transported to Wellstar West Georgia, where he later died of his injuries.
According to LPD, the initial investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) knocked on the door before entering the home and shooting Cameron. The suspect fled on foot in an easterly direction.
A description of the suspect(s) was unknown at the time of the news release.
