GEORGE (BUSTER) BUSBY, JR.

George (Buster) Busby, Jr., 71, a native of Birmingham, Alabama died Dec. 10, 2020 in Detroit, Michigan.

George was the son of the late George Busby, Sr. and Elmira Potts Busby McClain.  He was a high school graduate and he pursued some college education. He held employment as a Steel Mill Worker.

Survivors include his son, James Shivers of Fairfax, Virginia; local survivors include an aunt, Hattie Smith; cousin, Drusilla Smith and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for George Busby, Jr. will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.  Rev. Dr. Harvey Lee Jones will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 from 6 – 7 p.m. at West Georgia Mortuary.  The family will receive friends at 903 S. Ogletree Street.
