The Troup County Health Department announced Monday that it is taking COVID-19 vaccination appointments for Troup County.
The appointments are for Friday, Jan. 15 at the Troup County Bus Barn, located at 100 North Davis Road in LaGrange and are for people classified in group 1A+. The appointments are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. , and the Moderna vaccine is the one being administered. To make an appointment, call (800) 847-4262.
Once an appointment is made, ID to show proof of age and a vaccine consent form are required. The vaccine consent form can be found on the District 4 Public Health website or by clicking here.
Phase 1A+ includes the following groups:
- Healthcare workers in clinical settings (e.g., nurses, physicians, EMS, laboratory technicians, environmental services)
- Staff and residents of long-term care facilities
- All law enforcement and fire personnel (including volunteer departments)
- Adults aged 65 and older (and their caregivers as applicable)
Troup County residents can schedule an appointment at a clinic in another county as well, but most other clinics set up by District 4 Public Health are full. Coweta, Meriwether, Henry and Heard County are all full and have no appointments left, according to District 4 Public Information Officer Hayla Folden.
