JAMES W. CALLAWAY
1944-2021
Mr. James W. Callaway passed away Monday at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1944 in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia to the late John Henry and Betty Dowell Callaway.
He was educated in Troup County, enlisted in the United States Army, and was formerly employed by the US Postal Service.
“Peter” as he was known by family and friends, united with the Burks Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Callaway; daughter, Jacquelyn Y. Callaway; the children he gained, Stephanie Williams (Andre) Frazier, Sharon Williams (Albert) Seaborne, Shana (Frank) Hearn, Kie-area Thompson, Freddie Williams, and Rodney Williams; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters: Lola Johnson, Frances Jones, Laurine Jones; and an array of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
The excellent care of Mr. Callaway is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
