VERN E. ELEY, SR.

1935-2021

Vern E. Eley, Sr., 86 of LaGrange, Georgia passed away March 10, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Eley was born Jan. 29, 1935 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late William Lewis Eley and Christine Lois Brown Eley. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and worked for a number of years for RACO General Construction. Mr. Eley later was self-employed until his health began to decline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie “Ann” O. Bridwell Eley.

Survivors include his daughters, Tammy Eley and Sebrena (Tim) Flanagan, both of LaGrange, Georgia; sons, Vern E. Eley, Jr. of Lincoln, Alabama and Tyler (Kim) Eley of Hogansville, Georgia; several other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, March 12, 2021 from 1 –  2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Graveside Service will be 3 p.m. in Restlawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Donnie Benefield officiating.
