Charlie “Jew Baby” Cameron, 84, of LaGrange departed on Thursday at his home.
Mr. Charlie Cameron the son of the late Charlie and Willie Bell Cameron was born in LaGrange.
Charlie was affectionately known as “Jew Baby” joined Eastside Baptist Church at an early age.
He retired from Sealtest Company and was a deacon at First Corinthians Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Survivors includes: two sons, Jackie Patterson of Atlanta, and Terry (Tammie) Tucker of LaGrange. Four daughters: Faye (Clifford) Culpepper, Diane Cameron, and Shirley Cameron; all of Lagrange; Monica Carter of Darby, Pennsylvania., a special grandson: Darnell Cameron, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a special granddaughter: Crystal Cameron, Newnan, a host of special grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Three brothers: Freddie, Nate, and Stanley Cameron, all of LaGrange. Five sisters: Daisy McClendon, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Vera Jean (Alfonso) Johnson, Darby, Pennsylvania, Ruth (Otis) White, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Gayle Jackson, Kansas City, Kansas; Connie Alsome, Indianapolis, Indiana, and a host of special relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his loving wife Ada Beatrice Cameron, one son, and loving brothers, and sisters.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery with the Bishop Larry White officiating.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Mackey-Wilson-Jennings Funeral Home.
