Mrs. Paulette Smith Booker, 71, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Booker was born September 28, 1949, in Hogansville and lived in Troup County most of her life. She enjoyed caring for her family and her pets, and had a special love for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Billy Joe Booker and is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Griffin and her spouse Toya of Columbus; son, Lee Griffin (his late wife Trindi) of LaGrange; her mother, Doris Morgan of Carrollton; sisters and brothers in-law, Pat and George Gates of Auburn, Angie and Ray Hand of Newnan, Gail and Ken Mitchell of Wedowee, Alabama, Diane Morgan of Alpharetta; brother, Doug Morgan of Ellijay; brother in-law, Jimmy Rawls of Dupont; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Kierra, Taylor, Jacob, John, Jada; great-grandchildren, Kadience, Jaylen, Dakariah, Madison, Skylar; lifelong friend, Tarranda Shemwell; and her loving caregiver and friend, Tese Culverson; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe W. Smith; and her sisters, Carol Williams and Suzanne Rawls.

Funeral services were 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home.  Rev. Kory Trinrud  officiated and interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
