Man jumps in Dollar General employee’s vehicle, commits robbery

A Dollar General employee was robbed outside of the business Monday morning.
As of Monday, officers with the LaGrange Police Department are still looking for the suspect.
The LaGrange Police Department responded to the area of the Dollar General at 1811 Vernon Road in reference to a robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female employee who said that she was getting into her vehicle to go to the bank when a black male wearing a dark hoodie, red pants and a medical mask got into the passenger side of her vehicle. He told her to drive and had his hands in his pocket making her believe he had a weapon.
As the female employee pulled onto Old Vernon Road, the male grabbed the bag containing the deposit money and then ran from the car toward the Lee’s Crossing Apartments, according to a press release from the LPD.
