Having hair pulled from skin can be an uncomfortable experience, but the owner of Just Peachy, a waxing salon at the Clocktower shopping center on Lafayette Parkway, is promising to make her business a bit different.

“I strive to be happy and bubbly and talk to [clients] to get them through the service,” said owner Ashley Reece.

“It’s not the most pleasant service sometimes, but we try to make it as pleasant as possible.”

Just Peachy opened Friday, Oct. 22, after Reece relocated from her previous waxing job in Newnan.

“I worked there for four years, and I was consistently having clients from LaGrange who told me they didn’t have a [waxing salon],” she said. “Many asked me if I could come out [to LaGrange], and I just decided it was time.”

Reece runs the salon with her mother, Sharon Janik, and her oldest daughter, Skylar Reece, all of whom are licensed waxing technicians.

Janik’s husband helped design the physical aspects of the business while Reece’s daughters helped pick out the calming peach pink color of the walls.

Janik and Reece said, as a three-generation female-owned business, they are proud to join other female-owned business owners in the area.

“No one ever made it big without risk,” Janik said. “If there’s no risk, there’s no game.”

Reece shared the sentiment, noting that she risked nearly everything to move to LaGrange.

“I risked my entire savings, and with three kids and Christmas on the way, it was scary, but I knew it would pay off,” she said.

The response to the waxing salon’s presence in LaGrange, so far, has been great.

“We’re doing pretty well,” Reece said. “We do better on the weekends, but we certainly have room to take a few more [clients].”

Just Peachy offers many traditional waxing services for lips, legs and such, but also more intimate services.
