Many city and county businesses will close for Thanksgiving, and some are also closed Friday.

The City of LaGrange will be closed for business Thursday and Friday. Residents who normally have their trash picked up on Thursdays will have it picked up Friday. The city is asking citizens to put out their bins by 7 a.m. Friday morning, so city crews can finish their routes early and head back home to their families.

The City of LaGrange’s essential services will remain open on these days, such as the LaGrange Police Department and LaGrange Fire Department.

The LaGrange Memorial Library, Hogansville Public Library and Hawkes Library in West Point will close Wednesday and remain closed the rest of the week.

The City of Hogansville will be closed Thursday and Friday as well. For residents whose garbage pick-up day falls on Thursday, their garbage will be picked up Friday.  The Troup County Government Center will be closed on Thursday or Friday and will return to normal business hours on Monday. Additionally, all Troup County Convenience Centers will be closed on Thursday but will return to normal operating times on Friday.

West Point’s city services will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Trash pick-up for West Point will occur Saturday.
