Derrick Mitchell, 54, of 104 E. Crovat St. died Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at his home. 

Mr. Mitchell was born March 22, 1967, a native of Manchester, Georgia, was the son of the late James C. and Johnnie L. Gamble Mitchell.  He attended the public schools and he held employment with the LaGrange Car Wash.

Survivors include two daughters, Britany Barnes and Sacorya Reed: four brothers, Jimmy, Ronnie and James Mitchell and Willie James Terry; several aunts, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and several other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Derrick was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Mitchell and Horace Cofield. 

Graveside services for Mitchell will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Angelina Harris of 41 Young Mill Rd. and his sister, Linda Mitchell of 105 White Oak St. in Manchester, Georgia, 31816.
