A woman killed Monday night on New Franklin Road has been identified as Malia Teague Stillwell, 25, of Birmingham, Alabama.

According to Troup County Coroner Erin Hackley, Stillwell was hit by a vehicle while she was walking in the center of two southbound lanes on New Franklin Road.

Stillwell was visiting friends in the LaGrange area, Hackley said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hackly said the death is being ruled as accidental.
