Sweetland announces first five concerts of 2022 season

Sweetland Amphitheater announced the first five shows of its 2022 concert season.
The shows will go on sale on Friday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at https://www.sweetlandamp.com/events/
The entirety of Sweetland’s concert season is May to October. Sweetland Amphitheatre General Manager Katie McGinty said she was looking for seven to eight more performers to fill in the rest of the season
First to grace Sweetland on May 20 will be George Thorogood & The Destroyers. The classic rock band is best known for their legendary hits like “Bad To The Bone,” “Born To Be Bad” and “I Drink Alone.”
On June 2, rock artist Grace Potter will perform. Potter is a three-time Grammy-nominated artist has shared a stage with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant, the Allman Brothers, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Mavis Staples and The Roots. She currently has four albums, her most recent of which is Daylight, released in 2019.
Americana string band Old Crow Medicine Show on June 10. The six-member group’s ninth album, Remedy, released in 2014, won the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album.
On Aug. 5, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Kentucky Head Hunters will team up for a full knight of traditional rock.
On Aug. 26, country artist Jimmie Allen will hit the stage. Allen is known for his hits “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To” both from his 2018 album, Mercury.
