Romans Outland hat trick helps LaGrange boys soccer team to road win

The LaGrange boys soccer team dominated Spencer en route to a 9-0 victory.
Freshman Romans Outland was stellar on the night, scoring a hat trick and assisting on the opening goal to earn man of the match honors. Outland got his first career high school goal in the first half and added his second and third in the second half for good measure.
Noah Whipple, Jack Doerr, Bryce Kuhn, Luke McSpadden, Tripp Hollstrom, and Davis Knight all grabbed a goal a piece for the Grangers. McSpadden, Doerr, and Whipple all got their goals from the penalty spot. For Whipple and McSpadden it was their first goal of the season.
Cade Hollstrom and Knight got two assists each. Tripp Hollstrom, Andy Patton and Whipple all got an assist apiece in the game as well. Tripp Hollstrom and Knight are tied for the team lead in assists with 14.
Spencer Stephens earned the team’s sixth clean sheet of the season.
The Grangers had several players banged up which allowed the team to rotate some players and get the younger guys some critical game time.
The Grangers improve to 10-2-1 on the season and a perfect 5-0 in region play. LaGrange plays non-region opponent Jordan in Callaway Stadium on March 18.
