Trustbuilding, an area nonprofit organization whose mission is to bridge the racial divide in Troup County, will host Historian and  Thespian, Activist Georgette M. Norman from Montgomery, Alabama as part of its ongoing breakfast series speaker on Saturday at 9 a.m. 

The breakfast will be at Warren Temple United Methodist Church, 416 E Depot Street in LaGrange. 

According to a press release from Trustbuilding, Norman will use her experience to help us with strategies for interacting with people who think, feel, and act differently from oneself to navigate through differences for healing and reconciliation.  The breakfast will begin in the fellowship hall and transition to the sanctuary where Norman will speak.

“Our Breakfast Series is an extension of our Trustbuilding workshops,” Trustbuilding Executive Director Chalton Askew said in the press release.

“It is another way to bring the community together for education, conversation, and fellowship.  It also allows attendees to get to know one another and utilize some of the skills obtained from attending a Trustbuilding workshop.”
