LaGRANGE — Organizers of the Hillside Art, Music and Food Festival and Kia’s DASH for Hillside 5K run are gearing up for a family fun day April 16 in the Hillside community.
More than 40 vendors are registered to participate in the festival, which will be held on Garfield Street, begins at 10 a.m. and is free and open to the public.
Vendors — including sculptors, painters, wood workers, photographers, knitters and vegetable producers — are scheduled to set up booths on Garfield Street between Lincoln and Jefferson streets.
Pure Life Studios will host entertainment with a lineup of musical acts, including local group The Chattahoochee Rhythm Keepers.
Both local Montessori schools are slated to celebrate by hosting their fifth annual Earth Day Celebration and art auction.
Runners who participate in Kia’s DASH for Hillside 5K run will receive the festival’s T-shirt and will kick off the festivities at 8 a.m. Age group winners also will be given a locally created award.
Visitors to the festival can stay up to date on parking locations, vendors and events during the festival by searching Facebook for “Hillside Art, Music and Food Festival” or emailing hillsideneighbor@gmail.com.
Festival T-shirts will be on sale for $15. The 5K and event are sponsored by Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia and DASH for LaGrange, respectively.
