Woman arrested after hitting boyfriend with car outside Shell gas station

One man was injured Friday night after his girlfriend allegedly continuously hit her boyfriend with his car.
According to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department, the suspect, Angela Morrell, hit the victim with her car following an argument and left the scene. She was later apprehended.
On Friday at approximately 8 p.m., officers responded to the Shell Station at 908 Hamilton Road in reference to a person hit by a vehicle.
The victim advised officers he was intentionally hit with a vehicle by Morrell. The Criminal Investigations Section responded and began an investigation. The investigation revealed Morrell had driven to Shell Station where the victim worked. Once she arrived she confronted the victim who was sitting in his vehicle in front of the business and an argument began between the two of them.
During this argument, Morrell became enraged and intentionally rammed the driver’s door of the victim’s vehicle with her vehicle, while he was sitting in the driver’s seat. Morrell backed up and the victim exited his vehicle and she again accelerated toward him hitting the vehicle.
The victim had slight injuries to his hand and leg as a result of this assault. Morrell fled the area in her vehicle and was located a short distance away.
When she was stopped, Morrell was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and an open container of alcohol while driving. Morrell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property in the second degree and drug-related offenses.
