Rosemary Sandlin Hoven, 81, previously of Pine Mountain, Georgia, was beckoned to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Arbor Terrace of Burnt Hickory in Marietta, Georgia.
Mrs. Hoven was born April 30, 1941, in Gadsden, Alabama, daughter of the late Lacy Leith Sandlin and Mary Lusk Sandlin. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Georgia.
Rosie, as she was known, was an avid painter and ceramics enthusiast.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as her beloved pets. Rosie had a good eye for fashion and interior design. She loved outfitting her grandchildren and was known for her beautiful smile and kind heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wayne Hoven Sr. and her brother Don Leith Sandlin.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Wayne Hoven Jr and his wife, Jane Polhill Hoven and Lowell Craig Hoven and his wife, Valorie Cantrell Hoven; granddaughters, Mary Claire Laughlin Hoven, Caroline Gillespie Hoven and Margaret Campbell Hoven; grandsons, Nicholas Craig Hoven, Connor Wayne Hoven and Matthew Lee Hoven.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Dr. John Beyers officiating and the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
