Looking for a sweet treat? Heirloom Donuts, a market and bakeshop founded by Laura and Justin Gibson in October 2019 in Sharpsburg, Georgia is coming soon to LaGrange.
According to Laura, this location in LaGrange will be their third location with the first being in Sharpsburg and the second being in downtown Newnan.
Laura said LaGrange strongly appealed to them and felt like a thriving area with lots of commercial business parks and opportunities for growth.
“We wanted our next location to be close to the highway and when this location opened up, we jumped on it,” she said.
“It allows us to have a drive-thru, and then gives us great access to the highway for our customers to have easy access in and out.”
Besides their famous donuts, Heirloom will offer coffee, bagels, biscuits and some seasonal items, along with Italian ice, ice cream, and even a place where customers can build their own handcrafted donut.
According to Laura, Heirloom as a whole will focus on trying to support the local community.
“We want Heirloom to be honoring to God no matter where we are located, so wherever we end up, we want to support the local community and serve them well,” Laura said.
In their location in Sharpsburg along with selling donuts, the company has a market that sells items made by over 50 different local venders. However, Laura said, this particular location will not have a market component. The store will sell some store merchandise, but will mainly focus on freshly prepared donuts and farm-to-cup coffee.
She said the Heirloom team is working hard to open its LaGrange location soon, but as of now there is no set open date. Heirloom Donuts is set to be located near Nails Factory and Juanitos on LaFayette Parkway.
