Anything but quiet

LaGRANGE – Local bars and venues were far from quiet this weekend as they welcomed bands popular around the region to entertain crowds ready shake off reminders of the week.

Grand Theft Audio got the crowd ready to dance with their intense blend of vocals and guitar at Main Street Pub while just down the street, Columbus-based band, Dirt Road Republic rocked the house at Brickhouse Grille.

That was just the beginning though, with Auburn resident Trest Richerson performing at Brickhouse on Saturday, Newnan native Josh Rodgers bringing a country vibe to Main Street Pub and internationally recognized Japanese folk composer, Hiroya Tsukamoto, bringing some of his soulful compositions to Pure Life Studio on Saturday.

Brickhouse Grille and Main Street Pub both regularly feature live music on weekends and special events like karaoke on weeknights, and both restaurants regularly post upcoming bands and events on Facebook.

Pure Life Studios is located at 206 Clark Street, and the venue plans to host Writers in the Round on Friday and the Hillside Festival Competition on Saturday.
